I want to be as excited as the reader when I turn the page. That way, I get to find out what’s going to happen! I’ve never been much good at outlining I write to discover. At best, I like to write a first draft as quickly as I can. Kind of like the way we try to parent our kids the best way we know how but have to make allowances for their differences. After 37 books, I’d have to say my process changes as the story requires it to.
